Aston Martin V8 Vantage and V12 Vantage (2005-2017)
The Aston Martin Vantage was introduced in 2005 and became the final design work by Henrik Fisker for Aston Martin. The model was intended to complete the lower end of the Aston Martin model range and to compete directly with the Porsche 911 and the Ferrari 430.The V8 Vantage, powered by Jaguar’s AJ-V8 engine, achieved strong sales success. The V12 Vantage, which was replaced by the V12 Vantage S in 2013, was fitted with an AML-developed V12 engine that had originally been developed under Ford ownership starting in 1994.In the V12 Vantage S, this engine delivered nearly 600 hp.Both models were also successful in motorsport, particularly in GT and endurance racing, where the Vantage achieved numerous victories and podium finishes.
