This unit is a total “plug and play” replacement for the original horrendous Butec unit. It comes with a beautifully engineered lightweight aluminium pulley and it could not be easier to wire up – simply disconnect the warning light wire from the existing control box and connect it the yellow wire on the alternator.
As an alternative to the original and existing units out in the market, it has the advantage of:
• Being a straight swap – no messing with kits or brackets
• Same footprint as the original unit
• Having a huge increase in power – perfect for vehicles with electrical upgrades such as A/C, power steering etc.
• Reduction in weight versus the original (it’s 1.2 kg lighter than the Butec).
