Alfa Romeo has a very changing history, which quickly developed into sporty luxury cars. Mainly due to engineer Nicola Romeo, who entered the company in 1915, but left again during the nationalization of 1926. Alfa Romeo manufactured technically sophisticated premium vehicles in the passenger car market, a focus that lead to financial problems after the second world war. So times changed: The Giulietta was the first generation large-scale production vehicle, which also set the technical framework for the conceptually very similar successors, Giulia, Spider, Sprint and GTV. In the middle of the 60s all competitors, even with larger displacement, offered less power and at least 30km/h lower top speed, which made the cars very special.
