All neatly arranged in a compartment box are three each of shim sizes 0.085” to 0.092”; four each of sizes 0.093” to 0.103” and three each of sizes 0.104” to 0.124” - that’s 124 shims at a retail value of more than 300 pounds! All shims made in Europe with either part number (standard A-Z range) or size (0.111” to 0.124”) laser etched on shim.

Tappet guide hold down kit

One of the most frequent faults in the XK cylinder head is the loosening of the tappet guides due to overheating in the head. The slide guides can be secured with this special downholder so that damage caused by overheating is easier to repair. Complete set for inlet and outlet side, with fastening screws, drill and tap.

The genuine cylinder head gasket for the classic Jaguar XK engine were originally just made of plain steel and known for corrosion and other problems. We can offer a composite head gasket of the latest design, using the most advanced manufacturing techniques. With our new gasket made from high quality composite material you have the following benefit:
• stronger support for oil and water galleries
• bigger bore sizes possible
• higher compression possible
• improved design for reliability

Bore size: 88.50 mm, Thickness: 0.35", built in thickness: 0.33" . For Jaguar XK engines with 3,8 ltr. All Composite cylinder head gaskets can be found here.


Camshafts 270°

In 1968, Jaguar changed the lobe pattern of the camshafts. This was not an emission change but rather a change to smooth out the tappet noise. The lobe engaged the tappet more gently rather than slapping. These cams can be installed in the earlier engines for a quieter running engine with no noticeable loss of power or smoothness. Just make sure that the adjustment is correct for the camshafts. These cams adjust 0.012 to 0.014".

Manufactured from a soft durometer rubber wrapped around a steel torque limiting frame. These gaskets offer unparalleled sealing and extended reusability. This design surpasses the quality and ability of a typical cork or paper gasket. The rubber and steel combination will withstand blowing out, over tightening, and high amounts of vacuum at an affordable price. RH - version with split rear section for Jaguar XK150 (1957-61), Mark I + II, S-Type 3.4 and 3.8, 420, E-Type Serie 1 and 2, as well as XJ6 2.8 and 4.2.

Often the original cap nuts are damaged from opening. A single replacement creates an inconsistent appearance. But that's not the only reason to change nuts. Modern materials transmit higher forces on the flanks, the threads are stronger. Chrome-plated mounting set for rocker cover and cylinder head.
