No matter what is discussed in forums, the right time for the annual oil change on the classic vehicle is autumn. The reason for this is that combustion residues in the oil are highly acidic. If the alkaline reserve of the oil is depleted, the engine corrodes from the inside.

It uses good quality base oils and performance additives to ensure better engine protection. The Gulf oil also has a good thermo-oxidative stability that minimises deposits & sludge build-up. Its effective rust inhibitors retard formation of rust in critical engine parts, the antiwear technology minimises engine wear and reduces maintenance costs.

HTX 20W-50 is the tailor-made solution for classic and youngtimers from the early 1960s onwards.
The outstandingly durable viscosity and high viscosity index enable low-wear starts even after a longer service life and protect against wear, due to the increased proportions of zinc and phosphorus. The elf HTX oil meets the specifications for Renault, Citroen and Fiat.
