Antifreeze coolant is one of the most vital fluids in your car's operation, since it protects the engine from corrosion, from boiling or freezing temperatures, and helps transfer heat from the engine to the radiator. Based on ethylene glycol with corrosion inhibitors. A concentrated all year round protection anti-freezing liquid type with low freezing point, designed for all engine types including full-aluminium units. Colour: blue,, consistency: syrupy. Can be mixed with all ethylene glycol based antifreeze coolants.
Unfortunately, there is no uniform or even standardised nomenclature for coolant concentrates. The Coolant concentrates containing silicate are often coloured blue / green. They are mainly used in older vehicles, especially with cast engines. The liquid must be completely renewed at least every 3 years.
Silicate-containing and silicate-free concentrates must not be mixed. The mixture agglutinates with loss of cooling capacity. Even worse, the same colour of two coolants is no guarantee for miscibility.
