This fuel pressure regulator compensates for the various influences that affect the engine's fuel supply while driving. The sensitively reacting diaphragm compensates for temperature and air pressure fluctuations and the overpressure valve prevents the carburettor from overflowing.
The built-in fine filter protects the sensitive mechanics of the carburettor from contamination transported with the fuel (e.g. deposits from the tank).
